Class 1:  Herts Hunt  Walk & Trot Dressage Test.

               Pony & rider combinations having their first attempts at

               dressage . Sorry  No lead rein riders allowed as time is restricted

              Riders 12 yrs & under only on 1st January 2008.

               Entries will be strictly limited.

  

Class 2: Prix Caprilli  Test no 11 

             This test is marked & judged on the  rider’s position,

             style and control  of the horse / pony. There are two fences                 

             jumped during the test. Fence no1 is 1ft. 6in upright (from trot)

             Fence no2 A parallel 2ft high x 2ft wide ( from canter).  

             Horses /Ponies can be ridden in normal bits.

            Whips max 75cm can be used. No Spurs allowed

            Section A: very low jumps. Riders 12 yrs & under.

            Section B: Open  any age Jumps at height above.

            Chose only  one section.

           ( Test used at Area dressage Competition 24th July,

             as a non Q class for PC teams & individuals )

          

 Class 3: The Pony Club Novice Eventing Test 2006

                 Section A:  12 years & under. Section B: over 12 years.

                ( This test will be used at other pony club One Day Events &

                   for the Area 12 qualifier: Novice Horse Trials on 20th July)

Class 4:   The Pony Club Novice Test 2004

               This class will be split into age groups if  sufficient entries

      (Test used for Novice Area 12 dressage qualifier –Thurs 24th  July)

 

Class 5: The Pony Club Novice Dressage Championship Test 2005

              Open to all riders    All riders will receive a rosette in this class

         ( This test will be used for Area 12 qualifiers:

             Intermediate level Dressage & Intermediate level Horse trials )

 

Class 6 : The Pony Club Open Dressage Test 2008

                Open to all riders

   (Test used for Open  Area 12 Dressage qualifier on Thurs 24th July)

 

All Entry fees : £8.50 per class * Rosettes 1st – 6th + Specials

    Click on disciplines  on left side, then click dressage – then on tests.*

 

Any questions about the  dressage competition, classes or how the to ride the tests. Please don’t hestitate to ring the secretary for advise.

 

  The indoor school will be available for warming up and all the tests will be

    ridden on the outdoor 20m x 40m  surfaced arena.

 

   * Correct riding attire applies ( Please see Dress Code Rules 2007 booklet)

   *  Class 1 Walk & trot test horses / ponies can be ridden in their normal bits.

    * Class 2: Prix Caprilli: Horses / Ponies can be ridden in normal bits.

 

    Other classes: Bits allowed are: All types of snaffles ie: hanging, fulmer,

    straight bar, French link, jointed, eggbutt, loose ring etc.

    No martingales, brushing boots, over reach boots or bandages allowed while

      riding any of tests

 

    *  Tests maybe called.

    * Ages as of 1st January

.   * Horses & ponies can be shared by 2 riders, but not in the same section / class

 

  * Cheques made payable to  HERTS HUNT PONY CLUB

  * When you arrive, remember to go to the sectretary’s to collect your number.

  * Please leave a SAE for your dressage sheet if you have to leave before the end.

RULES AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY

 

1

The decision of the Organisers and Judges is final. They have the right to alter,amend or cancel any part of the competition, or refuse any entry, without stating a reason.

No entry fee will be refunded after the closing date of entries. And no entries will accepted without the correct entry fee.

All horses and ponies must be 4 years and over.

Hats complying with PAS 015:1998 or EN 1384:1996 or BS EN 1384:1997 with the BSI Kitemark. Snell E2001, AS/NZS 3838 1998 or AS/NZS 3838 2003. British  standard hats must contain the Kitemark as well.  The chin straps  must be securely fastened when mounted.

Correct riding attire must be worn at all time when mounted.

Dogs are to be kept on leads at all times.

In the interest of health and safety everyone must take all reasonable precauctions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions  from the organisers and stewards on the day.

 

Litter to deposited in the bins provided or taken away. No mucking out of trailers or lorries, and please no haynets tied up outside lorries or trailers. Leave the car park clean and tidy when you go home.

Neither the Hertfordshire Hunt Branch of the Pony Club (The Club) nor any members of it's Committee, nor any person acting on behalf of the club, nor the owners of the property shall be held responsible for any accident, damage, injury or loss to entrants by attending this competition. Entrants shall be deemed to have accepted this limitation by completing the entry form.
